The Smiths
It is Sunday. It is nine o’clock in the morning. The Smiths are at home. Mr. Andrew Smith is a British diplomat. His wife Laura is a French teacher. Their son Michael is a student. Their daughter Alice is a schoolgirl.
The Smiths are sitting at the table. They are having breakfast. Mr. Smith and Michael are having bacon and eggs, toast, butter, jam and tea. Mrs. Smith and Alice are having orange juice, toast, jam and coffee. Mr. Smith is asking Michael and Alice about their studies. Alice and Michael are answering his questions.
After breakfast they are going to visit the Browns. Alice is going to show her new little dog to her friend Jill Brown. The Smiths and the Browns are going to have dinner.
It is evening. The Browns and the Smiths are sitting at the table. They are having dinner. They are discussing their plans on the week. After dinner they are having a rest. The adults are discussing different things. Michael is playing the piano. Alice and Jill are playing with Alice’s little dog.
